Since moving to Calgary two years ago I've found the level of service at this branch to be exemplary. Of all of the Scotia branches on the West/Southwest of Calgary this is the heavy hitter: smart staff, quick moving lines and a space that is clean and well lit. The tellers have been a cut above, especially when you compare them to the other branches.
I've never encountered the rudeness the prior reviewer mentions. If anything my experiences have been the total opposite.

the staff in that bank are the greatest its like walking into your family'house they are friendly and talk to you about anything relating the bank and if you get confused they will help you until you have it down to pat

7th and 7th Downtown Calgary is my home branch, which I had to open up in 2008 when I moved there from Ontario, Well I have been back in Ontario for over a year now and had a unfortunate situation with my account. It was truly a out of luck- if by the BOOk thing. BUT a girl; Christian and a young fellow Jeff sorted things out for me, along with some non connected advice that came across as 2 people who actually cared without effort-this, at the branch level, it wasn't one one of those call center services. 2 months ago they had also called me up when my debit card was being used in a manner that was erratic to my history and use, thereby making sure my card was not in the wrong hands.
WELL BOTTOM Line is that with so many things I have had in the NEGATIVE banking thoughts; this Branch Takes the Cake and deserves to be recognized for their people skills, and THEY ALWAYS HAD Coffee available, sometimes even donuts.

I have dealth with Scotia bank for over 20 years. I would never consider another bank but Scotia Bank, I always got excellent services at Scotia Bank and also I use the telebanking every time I need it.

have been doing business with this branch of Scotia bank for over 25 years...While some branches are rather complacent and dont care a great deal Westmount are the opposite of that, they are ALWAYS CARING for thier customers first time out or long term customers, whether they have lots of money or maintain only a small balance. This is a great bank
